The client wished to create comfortable living on a plot with a garden and an adjacent pond. The placement of the house required the removal of part of the slope so that the structure could be connected to the existing cellar carved into the rock. Due to the unstable subsoil, the house was set on strip foundations and piles. The two-storey mass of the designed house is clad with sandstone combined with titanium zinc sheet metal and cedar. The window and door frames are aluminium. Part of the flat roof is covered with plants, while a cypress from the owner’s former residence was transplanted in the inner atrium. The house is connected to the garden with terraces and steps.
