New office spaces for U1, an interior design firm, were built at the company’s existing headquarters. New demands and the reorganisation of the company led to a search for an optimal concept for combining the office spaces and showroom with furniture and lighting. The core with technical installations, restrooms, a meeting room, a cloakroom and the server room remained from the original layout. A new reception desk and a box holding the copier and a kitchenette were added. The central block with a glazed meeting room is designed as a compact panelled mass; the reception desk countertop is acrylic. Walls are clad with lacquered steel sheet, stainless mosaic tiles and Moroccan plaster. The flooring is epoxy. New plasterboard ceilings were installed, and lighting throughout the entire space is new.
